"Macbeth: Biography of a Killer", an abridged version of the Shakespearean classic comes to Rome from 11-15 March.
Written and directed by Laura Pasetti, the Italian actress and founder of the Scotland-based Charioteer theatre company, the production is performed by an English cast from the UK, and stars Julia Dixon Phillip, Steven McIntyre, Jamie Walker and Matteo De Mojana.
The play starts from the end of the renowned tragedy: the last days at Cawdor castle before the final battle. General Macbeth, hidden in a bunker, is fighting his sense of guilt while recounting his memories to a journalist.
Aimed at high school students over the age of 14, the performances take place at 10.30 and there are also evening shows at 21.00 on Monday 11 March and at 17.30 on Friday 15 March.
