18 Sept 2004. For the second year Rome invites citizens and tourists to stay awake throughout the night for a "white night" of art, music, cinema, theatre and other events. Last years successful initiative, with 1.5 million participants, despite a nationwide electricity blackout in the early hours of the morning, is being repeated with a rich calendar of offerings to suit all tastes.
