8-24 November 2012. Throughout November the bookshop Ponte Ponente holds a series of workshops for children up to ten years old.
On Thursday 8, 15, 22 and 29 November at 17.00 it organises a series of lectures, entitled Altrondo, The Lair of Young Readers, by Carla Ghisalberti for kids aged five to seven. The lectures, which last one hour, focus on Gianni Rodari’s most famous fairy tales, including L’Inventore di Sogni (enrolment € 5, € 15 for four encounters).
On Saturday 10, 17, 24 the English teacher Fiona Walsh holds My First English, a series of English classes for babies up to 30 months at 10.30 and for kids up to five years at 11.30. English is taught through an innovative method made of songs, interactive games and stories (€ 100 for ten lessons).
On Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 21 at 16.45 there is the workshop Young Readers Grow, which focuses on some books from the publishing house Clavis, for kids aged two and older (free entrance).
On Tuesday 20 November at 17.00 Laura Federici teaches children aged six and older how to create their personal Christmas’ Kamishibai within a pictorial art course. Kamishibai consists of a Japanese tradition of storytelling, in which kids invent, represent and mount an original Christmas story inside a small theatre-suitcase (€ 60 for five encounters).
On Saturday 24 November at 17.00 children aged four to ten are invited to Unkork Art. This workshop teaches children to be creative with recycled materials in every day use, such as bottle caps, donated by the Association Memento Naturae (€ 10 per lesson).
