Kevin Murray: Open Studio of Rome paintings

Murray holds Open Studio and Sale on first Sunday of the month.

Rome-based Australian painter Kevin Murray stages an Open Studio of his sketches, watercolours, etchings and oils, on the first Sunday of the month, from 17.00-20.00.

Murray's work, which will also be for sale, can be seen at his studio in the Porta Maggiore area of the city.

Murray says his paintings are inspired by Rome's monuments, food, people and countryside, describing Rome as the "muse for his visual expression."

The artist, whose style is grounded in the ideals of the Scuola Romana movement, has lived in Rome since 1960.
