5 Dec 2004-6 Jan 2005. The pantomime season has begun and the Gaiety Theatres offering this year is Jack and the Beanstalk. Every child knows the ogres Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman and Jacks adventures climbing up the beanstalk and stealing the hen that lays golden eggs. This year the show is billed as the Greatest traditional panto in Ireland.

Pantomimes are an essential ingredient to a British, or Irish in this case, Christmas and a true eye opener for foreign visitors. Children love them almost as much as their parents.

Richie Hayes and Susan McFadden will be taking centre stage, performing alongside a whole host of characters.
