3-28 Nov 2004. One of the best and most respected jazz festivals in Europe, attracting names like Bebo Valds and Chick Corea. This longest-running festival takes place at different venues, include the Palau de la Msica Catalana, the Auditori and Luz de Gas and marks a great occasion to enjoy jazz in wonderful surroundings. A wide variety of styles will be represented, from big band and bebop to gospel and Latin jazz, attracting a great line-up of international performers. Highlights in 2004 include performances by Caetano Veloso, Wayne Shorter Quartet, Keith Jarrett, Bebo Valds, Maceo Parker, Avishai Cohen Quartet and Brad Mehldau. As well as these and various other concerts, there are a handful of workshops and masterclasses.
