21 Sept-9 Dec. The exhibition, organized in conjunction with the Graphischen Sammlungen der Klassik Stiftung Weimar, shows 51 original drawings by Johann Wolfgang Goethe never seen by the public before. Goethe was a prolific artist and left over 2600 drawings, hundreds of which portray Italian subjects. The inauguration of the exhibition coincides with the completion of work on the Casa di Goethe which enlarges its premises.
