The Gelato Festival returns to Rome's Auditorium Parco della Musica from 15-18 May, each day from midday until midnight, ending at 20.00 on 18 May.
There are numerous tasting events, "show cooking" courses and competitions scheduled during the four-day festival which hosts some of the best ice cream makers from Italy and abroad.
In addition to tasting the wide range of ice cream on offer, visitors can learn about the culture and ingredients behind the ever-popular gelato.
