The Pontifical Irish College in Rome hosts an exhibition entitled A Feather in the Sky - Cleite sa Spéir by Irish artist Eve Parnell.
The exhibition features a series of eight pencil studies inspired by the Rome sculptures of Italian baroque master Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
Parnell's large-scale monochrome drawings focus on the smaller details of Bernini's sculptures — allowing the viewer to appreciate further the genius of his work — and the project is a result of Parnell's visit to Rome in the spring.
Parnell told Wanted in Rome that the exhibition opening takes place at the Irish College on 8 September at 11.00, immediately after the 10.00 Sunday Mass, and that the event will include a raffle of special prizes from Ireland.
