24 Oct-1 Dec. The first solo exhibition in Europe by American artist Erik Jones, a leading member of New York's hyperrealist pop surrealism scene, takes place at Rome's Dorothy Circus Gallery.

His luminous portraits are complex mixed-media works combining both figurative and geometric elements, with vibrant colour patterns offset by melancholic expressions of women.

Jones uses an impressive selection of media from watercolour, coloured pencil, acrylic, water-soluble oil and wax pastels. His Rome exhibition will comprise more than 15 paintings.

Dorothy Circus is a prominent gallery specialising in international pop-surrealist art.
