The National Library is staging a whole series of events on Spains greatest fictional character, specifically designed for 4 to 14 year olds. Aiming to give youngsters a taste of the seventeenth century, Pintando la Mancha presents a series of cartoon workshops to bring alive the evocative language, characters and landscapes of Don Quixote. Msicas del Quijote features three recitals to introduce the music of this golden age; while rase una vez D.Q. de la Mancha: Cuantacuentos" presents handicraft workshops to nurture the creativity of 4-5 year olds. These events will introduce Cervantes famous picaresque tale to yet another generation.
