23 May-8 June 2008. Over 300 participants from all over China are in Rome for the first festival completely dedicated to Chinese traditional and contemporary culture ever organised in Italy. The initiative was born of an accord between the Musica per Roma Foundation and the Chinese ministry of culture. The festival unfolds in the Auditorium Parco della Musica with theatrical performances, music, dance, traditional Chinese Opera representations, circus acts, fireworks, art exhibitions and literary evenings. The big names to look out for include the Shangai Opera House, the Yu Opera, the Beijing National Theatre, the Shaolin Kung Fu Monks and the Shangai Drama Theatre.
