29 July-4 Sept. The Scuderie del Quirinale presents an exhibition of ancient Japanese Buddhist sculptures, national treasures on loan from major Japanese museums and temples.

The works on display date from the Asuka era to the Kamakura period (sixth-13th century).

The Buddhist religion and culture was introduced to Japan through the Korean peninsula in the sixth century.
