1 June-8 Jan. With its mix of ancient sculpture and modern industrial machinery, the Centrale Montemartini is one of Rome's most unusual but least visited museums.
Perhaps the new additions to its permanent collection will encourage more Rome residents and tourists to check out this intriguing museum in the Ostiense neighbourhood.
On display are several ancient Roman mosaics, previously hidden away in storage, as well as a bust of Agrippina the Younger — wife of Claudius and mother of Nero — on loan from the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek art museum in Copenhagen.
