A celebration of Brazils rich diversity of music and culture, the BrasilNoar festival takes in ever possible permutation of Brazilian performers from Sao Paolos modern hip hop-flavoured samba to Silvana Maltas and Toninho Hortas bossa nova beats, and sounds and martial arts skills of the Abad Capoeira group. The weekend attractions include noted jazz Paulinho Lemos, a well-known jazz guitarist and arranger, as well as Mangue Beat pioneers Kiko Klaus and Carlos Jaramillo.

Then for those late night dance-athons the Rio-based Apavoramento Sound System Collective, complete with DJs, VJs, and live performers, putting out some authentic Brazilian break beat, electro and Carioc Funk. Dont miss the art and photography exhibitions, film screenings of animations, fiction and experimental pieces. Admission costs 5.
