Best DJs in Rome this weekend

Friday’s best DJ is clearly German. Chris Liebing is performing at Spazio 900. He started his brilliant career in early 90’s becoming resident DJ of different German clubs but his popularity really grew up joining Sven Vath’s Cocoon Records (left in 2002 to create his own music label ‘CLR’). He also played in the most important music festivals all over the world like Time Warp, Electric Zoo, WMC and so on.

If you like Guetta(ish) music you can go and see Afrojack playing at Atlantico. This young Dutch DJ became famous at the beginning as producer of some artists like David Guetta and Dave Clarke, then also as DJ, especially with the hit “Take Over Control”.

Staying in Europe (Germany again), Len Faki will propose his deep techno at Rashomon Club. Resident DJ at Berlin’s Berghain, producer of different projects and labels, he performed his remixes at Time Warp or Ultra music festivals.

Rebel Rebel night at Warehouse presents UK DJ Paul Rose aka Scuba which will please you with his music.

Moving out from Europe, Canadian trio Cobblestone Jazz will perform their mixed style (house, techno and jazz together) at Goa Club. But, if you prefer classic old-style house music from USA, you have two options: Timmy Regisford performing at Room26 or Levon Vincent at Brancaleone.

Best Saturday offer is Rashomon Club’s seven years anniversary party with one of the Detroit techno’s founders: Kevin Saunderson. After more than 30 years we can say that his project ‘Inner City’ is one of the most successful. His creativity over the years was also expressed as his alter ego project known as E-Dancer.

For the first time in Rome, German DJ Answer Code Request will be the special guest of Goa’s Amigdala night. Berghain resident DJ since August 2012, his techno is eclectic and multiform. Finally, if you are more for a low-key night, go to see Mo’Horizons concert at Caffè Latino in Testaccio area. ‘Surprisingly’ coming from Germany this duo mix acid jazz, funk, soul, drum’n’bass and downbeat: more difficult to explain, easier to enjoy!
