Barefoot march in solidarity with migrants

11 Sept. A barefoot procession in solidarity with migrants takes place in Rome on Friday 11 September from the Centro Baobab, which offers assistance to hundreds of refugees every day, to the nearby Tiburtina station.

The volunteers and guests of Baobab ask people to join them on the peaceful demonstration which leaves Baobab at 17.00 for Stazione Tiburtina before returning back to the centre to celebrate Enkutatash — New Year's Day on the Ethiopian calendar.

Participants are asked to walk barefoot and to bring some food or household items from the list published on the Amici di Baobob Facebook page.
