Anima Mundi. 5th International Festival of Sacred Music.
14 Sept - 29 Oct 2005. The brainchild of the late conductor Giuseppe Sinopoli, this growing festival has received a useful chunk of extra funding from new sponsors. The star-studded programme is bait for lovers of sacred music but also for young people who want to get to know classical music. Some big names to look out for are those of the Wiener Philharmoniker conducted by Pierre Boulez (28 Sept) and a world premiere of Le Cantate di S. Gennaro with music by Paisiello and Cimarosa revised by Roberto De Simone (9 Oct).
