16 March-9 May. On the 40th anniversary of the massacre of Via Fani, Rome's MAXXI recalls Aldo Moro through the work of three artists along with a series of initiatives that trace the kidnapping and imprisonment of the Italian statesman.
Central to the project is a 3.24-sqm work by Francesco Arena which reproduces in real dimensions the narrow space in which Moro was held prisoner for 55 days, on display from 16 March until 9 May: the dates of Moro's abduction and the finding of his body.
