Hang on to your bus ticket
The humble 0.77 public transport ticket, which entitles you to 75 minutes travel on Romes buses, metro and trams, could also give you a 1 discount at the cinema on the day you stamped your ticket. Fifty-six cinemas with 167 screens are taking part in the scheme and will admit holders of a BIT (Biglietto Integrato a Tempo), at the discounted price, to their last two showings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The initiative, which runs until 31 August, will also include the festivals "Notti di cinema a Piazza Vittorio" (23 June-31 August) and "Da Venezia a Roma" (13-20 September).
