Yakir Arbib in Babylon: Classical Improvisations
From
to
5 July. Who said classical music and improvisation don't get along? Pianist and composer Yakir Arbib presents his first solo project, the result of years of research and live performance: Babylon, at Rome's Methodist Church on 5 July.
Like in an imaginary Tower of Babel, Arbib recreates a colourful cross section of the unlimited musical languages that can emerge from one common origin: classical music.
The King of Improvisation gives new life to the classical repertoire, by revisiting with unpredictable genius the history of music from the Baroque age to the 1900s.
For details of the concert, which starts at 20.30, see Facebook event page and for tickets see Eventbrite website.
