The Revolutionary Role of Data Science: Transforming Lives, from Rome to Harvard

16 Jan. John Cabot University (JCU) presents The Revolutionary Role of Data Science: Transforming Lives, from Rome to Harvard, a lecture by Dr Francesca Dominici of Harvard University on Wednesday 16 January.

Originally from Rome, Dominici is the co-director of the Harvard Data Science Initiative - where she is known as "Harvard's Italian Genius" - and an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine.

Described by JCU as "a dynamic new star in the data science and public health arenas", Dominici is celebrated for her research projects that combine big data with health policy and climate change.

Her talk at JCU will touch on topics such as how data science affects everything in our lives; her road from Rome to Harvard; and the challenges for women both in academia and in balancing work/family.

Dominici's talk takes place at Confcommercio Roma, Piazza G.G. Belli 2, Trastevere, from 18.30-20.30 on 16 January. To RSVP see John Cabot University website.
