22 April. The Harlem Globetrotters come to Rome as part of their European tour. Founded in Chicago in 1926 as the Savoy Big Five, the world-famous team has been called the Harlem Globetrotters since 1929, and is known for its combination of athleticism, theatre and comedy. Over the course of its 86-year history the team has played some 20,000 exhibition games in 118 countries.
