22 April-1 May 2005. By Gerald Murphy and directed by Filippo Dini. The play, translated into Italian, is part of a mini festival Trend 2005 dedicated to British drama. It celebrates the 60th anniversary of the British Council in Italy this year and aims to shine the spotlight on new theatrical trends on the British scene. Take me away focuses on the crisis of the male role in society and on how the Irish economic boom has turned its society upside-down. The festival also includes a reading on 24 April entitled Have I None by Edward Bond; it is set in London, in the year 2077 where epidemics and suicides proliferate and all blood ties are legally abolished.
