The Chicago alternative rock group Smashing Pumpkins perform at Rock in Roma this summer.
The Rome concert is their only Italian date on a European tour to promote their seventh album Oceania.
Following their well-received second album "Siamese Dream" in 1993, the group achieved enormous success two years later with the double album "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness", which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart.
Fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Billy Corgan, the group went on to become one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts of the 1990s.
In Rome the group will be joined by special guest Mark Lanegan and his band.
