Alessandra Ferri, one of Italy's top dancers and now in her 50s, with Argentinian Herman Cornejo principal dancer of the American Ballet Theatre in an adaption of Colette's Chéri and La fine di Chéri set against the tragedy of world war one. VALERIA MAGLI. Pupilla. 10 JUNE. A reworking of Pupilla, created by Valeria Magli in 1983. Here the three dancers looks at the relationship between dolls, childhood, eroticism, death and resurrection. With Susanna Beltrami's contemporary company DanceHaus. Teatro Rasi.

COMPAGNIA ABBONDANZA in Terramura. 12 JUNE. Terramara, the first creation by the choreographer Michele Abbondanza for the company in 1991, was been reworked in 2013 with dancers Eleonora Chiocchini and Francesco Pacelli. Music by J.S Bach with Hungarian, Romanian and Sicilian undertones. Teatro Rasi.

BALLET DU GENÈVE in Lux and Glory. 21 JUNE. Lux by Swiss choreographer Ken Ossola is what has been described as a choral choreography on Faure's Requiem Mass and Glory by Andonis Foniadakis, a pagan bacchanal in a modern setting to Handel's music. Palazzo Mauro de André.

COMPAGNIE OLIVIER DUBOIS in Souls. 27 JUNE. Six dancers (from South Africa, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo) cross the desert in a dance of death. French choreographer Dubois created his new work Souls while in Cairo. He has recently taken over from Carolyn Carlson as director of the Centre Chorégraphique National du Roubaix.
