Mikhail Rudy

Piano recital. Mikhail Rudy is a Russian pianist born in Uzbekistan and based in France since the 1970s. He is considered one of the major representatives of the Russian piano school in Europe and is also a writer, broadcaster, film maker and festival director. His wide versatility has led him to put together several multi-media programmes. Particularly remarkable is his animated film of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition based on Kandinsky’s designs for a staging of the score in 1928 in Weimar, Germany. In Rome Rudy plays an all-Russian programme with music by Stravinsky and Mussorgsky. Istituzione Universitaria dei  Concerti.
