Songs for Lou: The Music & Poetry of Lou Reed.
9 Nov. Rome's Vitala Festival presents a concert and event in memory of Lou Reed, including a selection of readings and video projections, at Teatro S. Genesio on Saturday 9 November at 21.30.
The event, which is dedicated to "the man and artist, to the power of his music and words which inspired and fascinated generations and continues to do so", is presented in collaboration with the Association www.loureed.it.
Daniele Federici (vocals & guitar) and Alessandro Fea (guitar & soundtracks) are the creators and performers of this concert and show.
Federici had a ten-year long friendship with Lou Reed and collaborated with the artist in his Italian tours. Alessandro Fea is an author and theatre director. Together they have been successfully presenting this suggestive tribute show since 2002.
Organised by Fabiana De Rose in collaboration with Teatro S. Genesio, the Vitala Festival promotes a variety of philanthropic events, featuring mainly live music and visual arts. Now in its eighth season, the festival runs from September to June.
Tickets cost €15, reduced €13, and include first drink at the bar in the theatre's bar. The concert begins at 21.30 and is preceded by an optional buffet with refreshments at 20.30.
