Compaa Nacional de Danza 2 was created in 1999, on the initiative of its artistic director, the gifted and charismatic dancer and choreographer Nacho Duato, to train and prepare dancers for professional life. This exuberant and young company intends to be a link between conservatories, ballet schools and professional companies such as Spains Compaa Nacional de Danza, also directed by Duato. Meanwhile, Tony Fabre, an ex Compaa Nacional de Danza dancer and assistant artistic director of Compaa Nacional de Danza 2, has built up a repertory formed predominantly of Nacho Duatos works, but also incorporating works by young and promising choreographers. An occasion not to be missed for dance fans.
