Fazil Say

Turkish pianist and composer plays two Mozart sonatas and three of his own compositions, Gezi Park (a series of three works composed during and after the Gezi park protests is being played for the first time in Italy), Nietzsche and Wagner, and Three Ballads. In 2013 Say was given a 10-month suspended sentence by an Istanbul court for offending Islam on Twitter. He denies all charges but is openly critical of the Turkish government, in particular its cultural and social policies. Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti.
