25 Sept. Rome's Istituto Italiano di Studi Germanici hosts the European Researchers’ Night at the Villa Sciarra-Wurts on Friday 25 September at 18.30.
As part of a wider European initiative involving more than 300 cities across Europe, the institute's researchers will guide the audience around the villa, sharing the background to their profession and the impact that research has on everyday life.
The researchers will answer questions relating to their work and the history of the institute, the library and its treasures. They will also illustrate their projects that focus on Nordic and German literature, cinema and culture.
The evening begins at 18.30 with an apèritif and encounter with the researchers, followed by guided tours around the villa and library by library director and institute researcher Bruno Berni, at 19.00, 19.45, and 20.30. Images and documents relating to Villa Sciarra will be on display throughout the evening.
