9 Feb. The Dutch School in Rome celebrates its 35th birthday by organising a conference Crescere con più lingue, ecco il futuro! from 17.30-19.30 on Friday 9 February.
The school has invited Dutch-Italian linguist and writer Marinella Orioni (pictured)) to explain why it is important for children to grow up in a multilingual environment, and how to handle this as parents. Orioni has written two books, published in Dutch, on this subject.
Organisers say the conference, which will be held in Italian, will be of particular interest to multilingual families.
For full details of the event, taking place at the Istituto Italiano di Studi Germanici in Villa Sciarra, see Facebook page. Free entry.
