Carmina Burana at Accademia Santa Cecilia

14-16 June. The S. Cecilia orchestra and chorus conducted by Krzysztof Urbanski perform Carl Orff's Carmina Burana and the Italian premiere of Giullaume Connesson's Les Cités de Lovecraft.
The Connesson piece was first performed last year and was commissioned by the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre National de Lyon where Connesson is composer in residence. He is among the most widely performed living French composers. For details see S. Cecilia website.
