Antonio Pappano conducts Sciarrino and Bach

28-30 March. The programme is La Nuova Euridice secondo Rilke by Sciarrino and Bach's Magnificat with Barbara Hannigan and Amand Forsyth sopranos. Sciarrino, who is probably Italy's best known living composer of contemporary classical music, was commissioned to write this work by S. Cecilia. Will Barbara Hannigan, an inspiring soprano and performer of contemporary music, also conduct alongside Pappano. She has shared the podium with Simon Rattle in her legendary recitals with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra so why not with Pappano?
