The main part of the programme is music from Verdi's opera Lady Macbeth, but Anna Netrebko also sings the Song to the Moon from Dvorak's opera Rusalka (and Caecilie, the lied by Richard Strauss. Netrebko has recently recorded Britten's War Requiem with Pappano, Ian Bostridge and Thomas Hampson with the S. Cecilia orchestra and choir to mark the 100th anniversary of the composer's birth. Part of the Accademia S. Cecilia season.
