Rome man evades house arrest to escape wife
Man under house arrest hands himself in to Rome police.
A 49-year-old Rome man under house arrest presented himself at his local police station, telling officers that prison was preferable to staying at home arguing with his wife.
"I do everything: I do the housework, I iron, and everything that happens at home is always my fault", the man told police, who arrested him on the spot for evading house arrest.
After requesting to serve out his sentence anywhere else but at home, the man was transfered to a facility operated by a non-profit association.
