Public transport strike in Rome

ATAC and Roma Tpl engage in 24-hour strike action

Commuters in Rome face a 24-hour public transport strike on Wednesday 19 March.

The strike by Rome's public transport company ATAC and suburban bus company Roma Tpl follows the usual timetable: from 08.30 to 17.00 and from 20.00 to end of service.

It affects Rome's buses, trams, metro and light rail services Roma-Lido, Roma-Giardinetti and Roma-Civitacastellana-Viterbo.

The action will also affect 80 lines operated by Roma Tpl in the suburbs, while the city's 27 night bus services are at risk on the night between 18 and 19 March.

The strike had originally been scheduled for 5 February, then 28 February, but was postponed again due to bad weather.
