In parallel with its exhibition "Empire State. New York Art Now", which opens on 23 April, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni is showing a programme of movies by some of America's greatest directors.

A few of the films are being screened in their original language, with Italian subtitles, and entry is free. The other films will be screened in their Italian versions.

The genre of the selected films ranges from gangster to drama to romantic comedy, but all have one thing in common — they are all set in the Big Apple. The English language films include Breakfast in Tiffany's, Taxi Driver, Saturday Night Fever, and Carlito's Way.
