Poet Moira Egan and translator Damiano Abeni present Found in Translation, a reading and conversation about literary translation on Thursday 22 May, at 17.30.
The event takes place at the Casa delle Traduzioni and the husband-and-wife team will be interviewed by poet and translator Silvia Bre.
The reading will highlight Abeni’s anthology Caos, Pendole, Cocomeri, his translations of works by American poets such as Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Theodore Roethke, Mark Strand, and John Ashbery.
The event also serves as the Roman debut of Egan’s newest collection Botanica Arcana/Strange Botany, a bi-lingual volume of poems with Italian versions by Abeni.
Featured as well will be Mark Strand's newly-published Quasi Invisibile.
