Launch of Irish Rome book

14 May. The new book Irish Rome-Roma irlandese by Vittorio and Roswitha Di Martino will be presented in the Garden Room at the Non-Catholic cemetery at Piramide Cestia on Saturday 14 May at 10.00.

The event is free and open to all, although the cemetery requests a minimum donation of €3 per person, and after the launch there will be a guided tour of the graveyard’s Irish tombs.

The book offers, for the first time, a comprehensive account of the bimillenial history of the Irish presence in Rome. Published in English and Italian, with foreword by Fr Micheál MacCraith of St Isidore’s College, the book contains more than 100 images illustrating key figures and sites of Irish interest in Rome.
