International relations at the American University of Rome

The department of International Relations at the American University of Rome is holding a number of screenings and discussions over the month of October. 

4 Oct. US Elections. Screening of first presidential debate (live on 3 Oct, University of Denver, Denver). Domestic policy. Followed by discussion. (18.40-20.00)

10 Oct. “An African Election”. Jareth Merz’s award-winning film on the 2008 presidential election in Ghana. This is a documentary which views like a thriller as the result was not declared until the third ballot. Despite the tension, there was no serious violence and no recourse to the courts. In December Ghanaians will again be going to the polls. (18.40-20.00)

17 Oct. US Elections. Screening of second presidential debate (live on 16 Oct, Hofstra University, New York). Town meeting format including foreign and domestic policy. Followed by discussion. (18.40-20.00)

23 Oct. US Elections. Screening of third presidential debate (live on 22 Oct, Lynn University, Boca Raton, Florida). Foreign Policy. Followed by discussion. (18.40-20.00)
