Free opening at Galleria Nazionale

2 Oct. There is free entry to the Galleria Nazionale from 18.30 on Monday 2 October to celebrate the inauguration of the exhibition è solo un inizio. 1968.

The show marks the 50th anniversary of the 1968 protests that shook London, Paris, Berlin and Rome, by examining the role of art within the social and political context of the era, featuring works by important Italian and international artists.

The open evening also coincides with the launch of two parallel exhibitions: one dedicated to the gallery's former director Palma Bucarelli (1910-1998), the other to painter Renato Guttuso on the 30th anniversary of his death.

In addition visitors can enjoy the exhibition Time is Out of Joint which opened last October following the gallery's completed refurbishment and reorganisation.
