19 May-3 June 2004. Monteverdi, his times and the influence he exerted on music and musicians are the focal points of this charming festival that takes place in the beautiful Teatro Ponchielli and in various picturesque venues scattered around the city. The programme, as usual, offers high quality events, with the participation of The Tallis Scholars conducted by Peter Philips, the Ensemble Florilegium conducted by Ashley Solomon, the Concerto Italiano led by Rinaldo Alessandrini as well as many others.
