Dog race in Rome

Around 500 dogs and their owners are expected to take part in Advantix Running in Rome's Villa Borghese on 9 June.

The 4-km race is open to all types and sizes of dogs which must be kept on a leash during the run.

The goal of the event is to inform, raise awareness and enhance the relationship between owners and their dogs.

Hosted by television personality Susanna Messaggio, the race is known to attract celebrities and their four-legged friends.

There is also a mini-trade show dedicated to the world of dogs, and veterinarians will be on hand to offer advice.
