2 Feb. Celebrated author Dacia Maraini will give a presentation of her book Extravagance and Three Other Plays at Rome’s John Cabot University on Wednesday 2 February at 18.30.

The event is hosted by the university's Institute for Creative Writing and Literary Translation and the Department of Modern Languages and Literature.

Maraini's recently-published volume contains four theatrical works available for the first time in English, highlighting the themes of distress, exclusion, and tragedy with particular reference to women.

The award-winning Italian author has written numerous novels and more than 60 plays, and her works have been translated into 22 languages.
