24 Nov-12 Dec 2003. After a successful showing at the Lelia Mordoch Gallery in Paris, this Belgian-born, Rome-based artist presents new work. Lomr, who is steadily gaining attention in European art circles, is currently focusing on large paintings depicting parts of the human body sliced by the dramatic shadows of what could be a grille or shutters. In this exhibition he also presents an old passion for books: each specially bound volume is made up of painted and stained pages upon which Michelangelo's sonnets sporadically find a blaze of light. Every evening until 6 Dec at 21.00, actor Antonio Piovanelli of the Compagnia Piera Degli Esposti performs a selection of Michelangelo's sonnets.
