Until 5 April. Conducted by Marcello Viotti, directed by Paul Curran, with Elizabeth Whitehouse, Ian Storey, Sumi Jo, Hermine May. This opera, a highly sophisticated work in Strausss neo-Mozartian vein, was first performed in 1912. The libretto is by Hugo von Hofmannsthal based on Molieres Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme.
