1 Dec. The Institute for Creative Writing and Literary Translation at Rome's John Cabot University presents 10 mg by Maria Teresa Berardelli on 1 December at 19.00.
Rome’s leading English-language actors will be joined by John Cabot students for a staged reading of the new play written by the award-winning Roman playwright.
Presented in English translation for the first time, the play is centred around the commodification of illness by marketing, and the contrasting ways in which sickness is perceived by both the family affected and the pharmaceutical company.
The reading will be followed by an encounter with the author who will discuss the play and her work. Guests must RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org and photo identification is required to gain entry.
