Clocks go back
European summer time (EST) officially ends on Sunday 31 October when clocks go back one hour at 02.00. Mornings are lighter one hour earlier but evenings are darker earlier. Summer time returns again on 27 March 2011 at 02.00.
The change in the hour to mark the beginning of EST is always the last Sunday of March and it always ends on the last Sunday of October.
