Raggi introduces €400 fine for Rome's illegal "centurions".
Rome's new mayor Virginia Raggi has banned costumed "centurions" and unlicensed rickshaws from operating around tourist sites in the capital.
Those caught breaking the new rules, which take effect from 20 July, face fines of €400.
The legislation continues an order signed last November by the former Rome commissioner Francesco Paolo Tronca.
However Tronca's order expired on 30 June leading to a return of the centurions, particularly in the area around the Colosseum.
